NHL WHO NEEDS IT?

Well here we are still into a lock-out by the NHL owners over the players and the only thing they have proven so far is not too many people really care. Gray Betman will be remembered at the guy with the big plans that ruined the NHL. He gave away the shop last time and this time he is trying to take revenge on the players association (NHLPA) to get even.
The problem is not the players but the owners who are too willing to pay way too much for players for a chance to win the Stanley Cup.
I am not an expert but because of the nature of hockey it is very hard to buy a stanley cup, if you could New York Rangers would have won a bunch over the last few years. Hockey is a true team sport where the player must work together to make it happen, All players on the ice at any one time must know what their teammates are not only going to do but what they are capable of doing.
Baseball is different in that it is a team sport played by each player seperate from their teammates. You hit on your own, play your position by yourself, your teammate has no bearing on how you play. This is a sport where you can buy a championship or at least be one of the top teams year after year. The New York Yankees are a fine example of this, even years when they don't win it all they are always favorites.
I have been a hockey fan for more years than I care to remember, why I can even remember the last time the Make Believes from TO won their last Stanley Cup. I find that I do not miss hockey but if it were on I would probally check the score when the best team in the long history of hockey was playing. In case you are wondering I mean the Canadians from Montreal.
In closing I just want to say in my opinion if the owners don't take things in their own hands and beat some brains into Mr. Betman their will not only be a bunch of players with no jobs their will also be a group of owners who will have no team with an empty building. Don't think there is that much call for rock concerts.
