These are the musings of a retired male. Some may be interesting, some may be boring, but all will be true. It will contain info om PEI and some links I find interesting. Pull up a chair and enjoy.

Nothing special.

Well not much special to write about today just that the weather has taken a turn for the better. By this I mean that we are now into a fall pattern and we have lost most of our humidity. I always claimed it is not the heat on PEI in the summer that is uncomfortable but the humidity.
Well tomorrow the HOG are here in S'side for a weekend get together. For those of you who may not know HOG stands for Harley Owners Group and they claim their will be about 900 murder cycles here for the weekend, don't know how many Hells Angles are among the group if any.
The PEI diabetes society is selling tickets on a new Harley replica of one of their famous bikes this weekend at the waterfront mall and they were short of sellers so I will be working both Fri and Sat morn from 9:00AM to 1:00 PM so if you are reading this and live in the area come in and buy a ticket from me as it is all going to fight Diabetes, I am a diabetic and collected over $5000.00 for them 2 years ago and went to Dublin to complete my first marathon.
Well that is all for now just the story left:
CSIS ( CANADIAN SECURITY AND INFORMATION SERVICE) HAS JUST LEARNED THAT THE NEWFOUNDLAND ARMY HAS PURCHASED 50 SEPTIC TANKS.
THE RUMORS ARE THEY ARE GOING TO INVADE QUEBEC AS SOON AS THEY LEARN TO DRIVE THEM.

WORLD JUNIOR fastball.

We had our first meeting with the President of Softball Canada last night to prepare for the world junior faetball championship to be held in S'side from June 22 to July 1, 2005. The meeting went well but it just reinforced how much work we have ahead of us. I really think I have the easiest committee in transportation now that we will be renting 60 passenger busses with drivers from a local company. We will also need about 6 vans both 8 and 15 passenger where we will be using volunteer drivers. I am of 2 minds in how we will be handling transport to the fields for the teams as we will be running a regular schedule from motels to fields. If we will be using big busses or vans I haven't decided yet, the easiest would be to run big busses but the cost is another factor we have to figure out. If anyone has any ideas leave me your E-MAIL address in the comments column and I will contact you. Also if you would like to help when the tournament is on also contact me at: champ@pei.sympatico.ca. We will need lots of help and we may have a job you would enjoy doing.
Exciting times ahead folks and I am looking forward to it.
now for today's story:

A guy walked into the Dr. Office with two burnt ears.

"Doc I was really dumb. I was at the ironing board and the phone rang. Without thinking I tried to answer the iron instead of the phone."

"Ouch! That's gotta hurt," said the Dr. "but what happened the other ear?"

"Oh,that. They called back."

Till next time.

Trying again.

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately but the last few times I tried I had problems and I don't have much patience with this crap.
Not much going on in my life just I have a meeting tonight on the world junior softball championships coming to S'side starting June 22, 2005. I will have more on this in the days ahead when we have things a little more organized. If anyone reading this would like to help us just let me know as we will need lots of good help to pull it off. I hope that we will have the best tournment S'side ever had and that is what I am shooting for.
Last Sat. Was the Harvest festival Parade in Kensington and it really pored so I didn't make it this year. I have been going and taking pics and posting them but sad to say not this year.
now my advice for today.
Here are the rules to stay young:
(1) Eat a healthy diet.
(2) Don't overeat.
(3) Exercise daily.
(4) Avoid stress.
(5) If someone ask your age "LIE".
